John Besh is THE local star having won the ‘Top 10 chefs in the US’ and ‘Best Chef in the Southeast’. His August restaurant does contemporary french cuisine making full use of local ingredients. Worth trying the degustation menu with matched wines. The service was spectacular and we had a great night here at August.


organic greens with pumpkin seed brittle, point reyes blue cheese and pumpkin seed oil vinaigrette


acorn squash mezzze luna, first of the season satsuma, local chestnuts and fennel


redfish courtboullion – persillade crust, jumbo shrimp, blue crab and sauce bourride


petite fillet of beef with summer vegetable ratatouille and oxtail jus
