Rosati – Melbourne

by Suha on July 16, 2011

A Melbourne institution since 1986, Rosati’s is situated in a Flinders lane warehouse serving traditional Italian cuisine to the Melbourne city crowd. It is a very large restaurant but still full on most days and nights. People come in just for a quick bite or a long lunch and family dinners or group events. A fun looking casual place with great home style Italian cooking. Great Italian wine list as well and imported Italian cheeses are also on offer.

Pepperonta – crumbed taleggio, white balsamic – was under thecold entree section and id did come just slightly warm but i think i would have preferred it hot with nice gooey melting cheese.

Scallops seared with lemon polenta mash, tomato, chives – very nice and soft well cooked scallops.

Pork belly crispy skin, pine nuts and currents Рjust yum. perfectly cooked and loved the pine nuts and currents. added  the sweetness to the pork,

 Polpette РSicilian meatballs

Pappardelle braised duck, pistachio

Funghi wild mushroom, garlic and thyme risotto – was really nice. a number of different types of mushrooms and nice and cheesy.

Chocolate pudding, citrus, vanilla bean ice cream
