Vincenzo’s Cucina Vera – Adelaide

Without a doubt  – one of THE most amazing dining experiences I have had in a very long time. A restaurant that I would highly recommend to everyone and one that I wish was in my home town and I could dine there regularly. Just loved the evening. Firstly Lara the Maitre D’ is totally amazing. She is currently one of the three finalists for the GT Maitre D’ of the year and I so hope she wins. She was perfect. Understanding, flexible, passionate, warm and so sincere. Her partner chef Vince LaMontagna is a star and also currently nominated for best new talent. We loved every dish. VcV does not have a menu at all. Each night Vince just produced dishes on what fresh ingredients he can find. It can be anything. Just let them know what you can’t eat and how many dishes you would like and leave it to Vince. Believe me you cant go wrong. We had a great night. Their wine list and glass wear is amazing. We had the best whites, reds and desert wines ineautiful riedel decanters and glasses. They sure made us feel special on the night. Cant wait to go back to Adelaide just to dine with Lara and Vince.

Fresh home made pasta, olive oil, sea salt, parmesan, fresh porchini mushrooms – absolutely perfectly cooked pasta and one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a long time.

60 day grain fed beef cooked sous-vide with salted carrot powder. What an amazing dish. The beef was just so soft and perfectly cooked. The powder added a great element to it.

Deconstructed chocolate croissant – chocolate, brioche and fresh grated black truffle……yum 🙂
