Cafe Lyon – Lindfield – Sydney

by Suha on September 10, 2011

The north shore dining scene is getting more exciting. Chef Rainer Korobacz ex Berowra waters has opened this lovely French style bistro on Pacific Highway in Lindfield. It had been open for just 3 weeks when we dined here and it was already full on a Tuesday night. The service still needs polishing but the food was to die for. A very small menu with a choice of just three entrees, mains and desserts for $58 but everything sounded great. Loved the food and can’t wait to go back.

Citrus cured salmon, celeriac remoulade, crab fritter

Lamb shank with Spanish onions, fevs, baby peas and crushed potatoes – fall of the bone and really good

Quail ballontine, marinated wood mushrooms and polenta – loved it. The mushrooms were great and the quail tender.

Chocolate fondant, blood orange and vanilla ice cream – one of the best in a long while. Yum…
