Booth St Bistro – Annandale – Sydney

Looking for a suburban, European style cuisine, affordable but exciting wine list, friendly service, easy to park, BYO then BSB is the one for you. Husband and wife team – Wayne and Teresa have taken ownership of this great terrace style restaurant and deliver a really amazing menu. For the month of April they have a great special and are offering a two course menu for $35 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Each dish was beautifully presented and the flavours and combinations were brilliant. Really nice to have BSB on the dining scene. Looking forward to dining there again soon.

Marinated beetroot, Janei goat’s cheese salad, balsamic jelly and candied walnuts – the cheese was soft and melted in the mouth and the balsamic jelly was a great surprise.

Macleay valley rabbit and foie gras terrine, ginger cake, carrot puree – this was the highlight of the meal for me. The rabbit was soft and the foie gras flavour definitely complimented it. Great combination. Surprisingly the carrot cake went really well with the dish. The figs were fresh and very nice.

Crispy skinned king salmon, colcannon, asparagus, lemon beurre blanc

Char grilled 120 day grain fed Diamantina scotch fillet with creamy spinach, fries and café de paris butter

Rare breed Kurobuta Berkshire pork belly, apple, pumpkin, brocolli polonaise – was really good. The pork belly was soft and crispy…

Chocolate assiette – chocolate and cointreau ice cream, chocolate fondant, white chocolate and peanut brittle parfait – the fondant and ice cream were amazing and perfect. Not so sure about the white chocolate parfait though…
